Here’s my dose of curious finds this week. Enjoy :-)
Design and Product Visions
I came across this brilliant article by Eleanor Mason Reinholdt this week and I thought it was super topical. Eleanor describes the reasons why to create a vision, how/when, and what could be the form it takes. For many this might not be anything particularly new, but still this is in a sense very core to what is one of the superpowers of design: to imagine what’s next beyond word docs / post-its / spreadsheets and decks, to make intangible tangible and to provoke the whole company with what is possible.
Going beyond Twitter
Musk’s antics lead people to look beyond Twitter. Although the landscape beyond the birdcage feels undiscovered and rough, it also is full of opportunities and interesting things to discover and experiment with.
Ethics of AI robotics
Here’s a really good thread on ethical considerations / implications of autonomous robots / weapons. Really topical considering how drones are used in Ukraine

Affinity 2
I’m a big Affinity fan and so the announcement of the v2 apps got me really excited. The new UI is way better, more intuitive and makes the tools and tool settings easier to access (I use Affinity Photo and Designer primarily on iPad Pro).
The best of Affinitober
Sticking with Affinity for one more link - here’s the best of the best of daily illustration competition.
One more thing
Last but not least, some tasty architecture - metro station build from timber? Surely if it is in Naples!

Until next time,
